| The
Artist Advisory Board consists of several gifted musicians who have been
essential to the work of Amadeus over the years. The members of this
panel give advice to the Director and to the Board of Directors, help
to plan and carry concerts and other events, and often perform as well.
Pianist Frank
Conlon has performed
as piano soloist and accompanist in many different cities in the United
States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Japan. Mr. Conlon is on the faculties
of George Washington University and the Levine School of Music, and is
the Director of Music at the Church of the Annunciation in Washington
and at Temple Rodef Shalom in Falls Church.
Patricia Miller is an international opera and recital concert artist. Her career highlights include opera, concert and orchestral performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, the Strathmore Music Center, and the Musikverein, and appearances with the operas of Dallas, San Francisco, New York City, Houston, Detroit, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, Basel, Berlin, Geneva, Tokyo, Bogota, Melbourne, and Kiev. Ms. Miller is Professor of Music, Artist-in-Residence, and Director of Vocal Studies in the College of Visual & Performing Arts, George Mason University.
Lawrence Oates, a graduate of the University of Florida and Catholic University, has been the principal trumpet of the Amadeus Orchestra since its inception and is currently its personnel manager. Since 1987 he has been a member of the Virginia Chamber Orchestra. He has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, Washington Opera, Arena Stage, Prince Georges Opera and Opera International.
Paul Skevington is Director of Music and Liturgy at Saint Luke Catholic Church in McLean, Virginia and is a member of the Adjunct Music Faculty at Northern Virginia Community College. He accompanies many choral groups in the Washington, D.C. area and can be heard at The Kennedy Center with The Washington Chorus for their annual Christmas Concerts. He has recorded for the Gothic, Naxos, and Summit labels. |
