The Amadeus Concerts, Inc. was founded
by the late Timothy Rowe in 1981 as a nonprofit music foundation. The Amadeus Concerts, Inc. is dedicated to enhancing the enjoyment, understanding, and accessibility of fine music. Founded by the Timothy Rowe in 1981 as a nonprofit music foundation, Amadeus features professional musicians performing high-quality programs of solo, ensemble, and orchestral works to our audiences in and around Great Falls, Virginia and the Dulles Corridor.
Amadeus continues to receive critical acclaim in the Metropolitan Area and had the privilege of releasing its first Naxos CD featuring a live performance at Saint Luke Church in McLean, Virginia. In addition to providing free access to concerts for all youth, Amadeus provides ongoing developmental support to young artists at the thresholds of their careers.
Our
board is devoted to maintaining reasonable admission fees that will encourage
attendance by families and seniors. Amadeus is supported by an enthusiastic
volunteer community committed to the furtherance of its mission.
The Arts Council
of Fairfax County says:
"Amadeus Concerts is a valued arts organization with
a strong mission, high-quality concerts, and quality artistic programming.
You have an obvious commitment to diverse programming and wide audience appeal,
and are a valued member of the arts community. Your viability and resurgence
are testimony to your core strengths and the founder's impact on his orchestra
and community.
Your strong community outreach programs continue to broaden
and expand your audience and support base. You are already targeting youth
with free tickets, which is a great practice, and you have excellent plans
for outreach to area seniors..."
