The Amadeus Concerts, Inc. was founded by the late Timothy Rowe in 1981 as a nonprofit music foundation.
The Amadeus Concerts, Inc. is dedicated to enhancing the enjoyment, understanding, and accessibility of fine music. Founded as a nonprofit music foundation, Amadeus features professional musicians performing high-quality programs of solo, ensemble, and orchestral works to our audiences in and around Great Falls, Virginia and the Dulles Corridor. Amadeus continues to receive critical acclaim in the Metropolitan Area and had the privilege of releasing its first Naxos CD featuring a live performance at Saint Luke Church in McLean, Virginia. In addition to providing free access to concerts for all youth, Amadeus provides ongoing developmental support to young artists at the thresholds of their careers. Our board is devoted to maintaining reasonable admission fees that will encourage attendance by families and seniors. Amadeus is supported by an enthusiastic volunteer community committed to the furtherance of its mission. The Arts Council of Fairfax County says:
"Amadeus Concerts is a valued arts organization with a strong mission, high-quality concerts, and quality artistic programming. You have an obvious commitment to diverse programming and wide audience appeal, and are a valued member of the arts community. Your viability and resurgence are testimony to your core strengths and the founder's impact on his orchestra and community. Your strong community outreach programs continue to broaden and expand your audience and support base. You are already targeting youth with free tickets, which is a great practice, and you have excellent plans for outreach to area seniors..."

Thank you again for the Amadeus concert yesterday! The joy and energy of your conducting led the orchestra in bringing out the rich beauty of the Debussy, Fauré, Ravel, and Bizet. It was a fascinating program and a pleasure to hear!

"Everyone virtually had a frontrow seat because of the coziness of the venue. The rich sound was as moving as the conductor directing it." The Fairfax County Times
"In a world where many children listen to music in their own private worlds … Amadeus Concerts introduces young people to the auditory ecstasy of a live classical music concert."
"Elementary strings teacher Kim Mitchell said she was almost moved to tears by what the expert musicians brought to her students … "an invaluable experience … an opportunity of a lifetime". The Sun Gazette
"A canon … is probably the best description of what The Amadeus Concert Series of Great Falls has become—a canon that includes all ages, all backgrounds and all ethnic groups; a canon that draws people together for no other reason than they are able to appreciate beautiful music." Fairfax County Times
"Well established, founded in 1981. High quality classical program presented in an innovative way. Musicians are professional. The conductor has good credentials. Scott Wood is a fine musician and a strength to this organization. Wide range of program that reach a diverse audience. Goal is to give an experience, not a product. Funding is diversified. Esimates are conservative. Good to see it has cash reserves to cover four months of operating expenses. Dedicated board of directors that meets monthly. Has a separate artistic advisory board. Good outreach to schools and seniors. Good to see scholarships. Some students are going on to study at the Juilliard. The "Side by Side Concerts" for elementary schools is strong. The emerging artists Showcase is a great way to give young musicians exposure. Giving free tickets to those under 18. Filling a niche in Great Falls."
