Liz Ohara

Liz O’Hara is a professional violist and chamber musician dedicated to the future of classical music, musician wellbeing, and music education access. She is a founding member of several professional ensembles, including the 9th Street Quartet, and in 2020 launched ViolaCentric, a podcast and concert series, with violist Stephanie Knutsen. Liz also performs regularly with ensembles such as the American Pops Orchestra, Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra, Maryland Lyric Opera, National Philharmonic, and Richmond Symphony Orchestra, while maintaining a private viola studio whose students have attended programs like Interlochen and Meadowmount and gone on to study at universities including Vanderbilt and Carnegie Mellon.
