David W. Marsh III

Bass
David W. Marsh III is a bassist comfortable in many styles who has toured internationally in countries including Japan, Italy, Brazil, and across the U.S. with ensembles such as the DC Youth Orchestra and St. Augustine's Gospel Choir. He has shared the stage or bill with artists like Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughan, Ahmad Jamal, and Placido Domingo and performed at venues including Blues Alley, the Kennedy Center, the White House, and Constitution Hall. Marsh has recorded and toured with the vocal trio Cook, Dixon and Young, appearing on their PBS special and CD. An experienced educator, he has taught at KIPP Harbor Academy, the Mitchellville Community School of the Arts, Shepherd University, and George Washington University.
