Tim Beccue

Tim Beccue is the cellist of the Astrodon String Quartet and a fellow with Mount Vernon Virtuosi’s string quartet program, having completed his master’s degree at the Peabody Institute. Originally from Santa Barbara, he has performed in Europe and Asia with organizations like the Taipei Music Academy Festival and the Changhua Chamber Music Society and has appeared as soloist with the West Coast Symphony and Westmont Orchestra. He is a founding member of the HEXTET string sextet and formerly played double bass with his jazz quartet The Dumpster Cats. Outside music, he holds a degree in physics and writes software for robotic telescopes at Las Cumbres Observatory.
