Bernard Vallandingham

Violin (also composer)
Composer‑violinist Bernard Vallandingham discovered the violin and composition in childhood and later studied at Oberlin College and the Manhattan School of Music. He has performed widely as both violinist and violist in major U.S. halls such as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and the Kennedy Center, and has held positions in orchestras including the Florida Philharmonic and Naples Philharmonic. As a composer he writes chamber and orchestral music, often using unusual instrument combinations, with premieres at venues like the Kennedy Center and the National Music Festival. Vallandingham co‑founded Kassia Music to present contemporary tonal music and remains active in commissions and educational projects.
