Maximilian Jacobs

Maximilian Jacobs is a versatile violinist and composer who blends swing, straight‑ahead jazz, klezmer, bluegrass, blues, and classical influences into original compositions and improvisations. He performs at venues such as the Kennedy Center, Strathmore, and Creative Alliance and has been featured at festivals including the Charm City Django Jazz Festival and the Summer Gypsy Jazz Festival in Maryland. As a bandleader, his Max Jacobs Quintet opened the 2024 Summer Gypsy Jazz Festival and he has created projects like “Remembering Eddie South” and “Octet No. 1.” Jacobs holds a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Maryland and is active as a teaching artist, including with the Cayman Arts Festival.
