The Atria Quartet formed in 2025 as the University of Maryland School of Music’s fellowship string quartet and serves as the school’s flagship chamber string ensemble. Named after the upper chambers of the heart, the Atria Quartet aims to connect with audiences through their heartfelt musical performances. Works will include quartets by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Julia Wolfe.

Come to a pre-concert behind-the-scenes talk led by our Executive and Artistic Director, which takes place 45 min prior to the start of the concert at the venue. Typically including artists performing on that afternoon's program, these talks offer insight into the music and musicians you'll be hearing from later on. Historical context, demonstrations on instruments, and interviews on the musician's personal journey to the stage are frequent topics for presentation.
