Amadeus Concerts is dedicated to enhancing the enjoyment, understanding, and accessibility of classical music in Northern Virginia.
Under the direction of Artistic Director A. Scott Wood, who conducts the Amadeus Orchestra, the concert series features professional musicians performing solo, ensemble, and orchestral works. We also present Side-by-Side concerts in schools and education outreach programs designed to reach new audiences.
While featuring internationally renowned musicians, Amadeus also provides support to young artists at the thresholds of their careers through our Emerging Artist Grant.
The Arts Council of Fairfax County calls our professional concert series “a valued arts organization with a strong mission, high-quality concerts, and quality artistic programming…” The Virginia Commission for the Arts describes Amadeus concerts as “high-quality classical programs presented in an innovative way.” We maintain reasonable admission fees in order to encourage attendance by families and seniors. Students under 18 years of age may attend all our concerts free of charge.
